Itinerary

Day 1 - Nukualofa

Guest arriving on sailing day at the Nuku'alofa Airport will be met and transferred to the ship waiting in the harbour. You are greeted with a welcome drink and given beach towels. You have the day to relax and use the ships’ facilities before the safety briefing and departure at 5pm. Chef will charm with his welcome dinner as we cruise across the bay to our beautiful anchorage. After dinner we sail with the winds from behind which makes for pleasant coastal cruising.

Day 1 - Nukualofa

Day 2 - Ha'apai

Well off the beaten path for visitors, the 62 scattered islands, atolls, reefs and shoals of the central island group of Ha’apai are an undeniably authentic slice of Polynesia and where only a few visitors have seldom been before you. Looming volcanic islands, warming trade winds and pristine atolls lapped by gentle waters provide a superb tropical backdrop for more adventurous travellers. Experience easy-going hospitality, before effortlessly filling days with sea kayaking, snorkelling or horse riding along white sandy beaches. More whale encounters are planned during our stay in Ha’apai.

Day 2 - Ha'apai

Day 3 - Vav'au

Vav'au is a beautiful collection of islands that are on the other side of the dateline; so we arrive one day later. We explore the enormous lagoon and our many favourite islands. There will be wonderful opportunities to swim with visiting humpback whales by our local guides who know these creatures intimately. We stay here for three days in this picture perfect South Seas playground.

Day 3 - Vav'au

Day 4/5 - At Sea

Enjoy the scenes and scents of the ocean. There is a host of activities to keep us amused. Onboard is a wide selection of board and card games, 1,000 movies plus a thorough library. The 1st officer will arrange a fascinating navigation lesson.

Day 4/5 - At Sea

Day 6 - Levuka

The town of Levuka was founded around 1820 by European settlers and traders as the first modern town in the Fiji Islands, and became an important port and trading post. A disparate band of settlers made up Levuka's population – traders, missionaries, shipwrights, speculators, and vagabonds, as well as respectable businessmen. This is our customs clearance port into Fiji and we are ashore to observe the historic town.

Day 6 - Levuka

Day 7/8 - Kia Island

This morning we weave between the islets and the long sandy beaches to reach Kia Island. This island is free to explore on the water and on land and we easily engage with the friendly residents during our extended stay. Later we celebrate a perfect day in paradise with a sunset cocktail on the aft deck and share stories of our day’s adventures.

Day 7/8 - Kia Island

Day 9 - Yasawa Islands

This day is absolute paradise with expansive white sandy beaches and beautiful ocean almost to ourselves. Later in the afternoon be prepared for some special entertainment. We have a meke (Fijian dancing) and a lovo (feast cooked in the ground) arranged by the local chief at his village. It is a fun-filled night for all involved with ukeleles, singing, dancing on the beach with some kava tasting.

Day 9 - Yasawa Islands

Day 10 - Malolo Island

The tenders are ready to take you to Malolo island. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to move into Fijian time and soak up the surrounding sea and landscapes that most mortals only dream about. A must visit is to the Yacht club Island bar that is frequented by locals and yacht owners alike. This iconic sand between the toes beach bar should not be missed. Try not to be too late as we have our farewell dinner onboard tonight.

Day 10 - Malolo Island

Final Day - Farewell at Denarau

After a hearty breakfast on deck we are underway and arrive alongside the Port Denarau wharf at 11:00 am with disembarking to be completed by 11:30 am. We wish you safe travels and look forward to welcoming you back onboard soon.

Final Day - Farewell at Denarau

Feedback

We had wonderful holiday supported by a great enthusiastic crew. The snorkelling, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in such a beautiful pristine part of the world was superb. An honourable mention must be made for the Chef extraordinaire, he was passionate about every one of his creations and he far exceeded all previous chefs you have had on-board.The crew ensured that we had the best anchorage each evening and allowed us to safely discover the unspoilt islands of French Polynesia. Thanks again
Noel and Judith, NSW
