Itinerary

Day 1 - Rarotonga

Boarding commences from 3pm alongside the pier in Rarotonga Harbour. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and let your crew introduce you to the onboard delights of your home for the next 12 nights. We sail at 5pm followed by a scrumptious welcome dinner as our cruise begins towards the romantic island of Aitutaki, 140 miles due north.

Day 1 - Rarotonga

Day 2 - Aitutaki island

Aitutaki has a beautiful lagoon. We navigate the coral heads to land you in the centre of the township. An island tour or a visit to one-foot island is on the agenda. Before dinner we sail northwest for our next stop at Palmerston Island.

Day 2 - Aitutaki island

Day 3 - Palmerston Island

Later this morning we will be looking for the tiny Palmerston Island on the horizon. First discovered by Capt James Cook in 1774, there are now 60 friendly residents. We venture ashore for the rest of the day and deliver important island supplies.

Day 3 - Palmerston Island

Day 4 - Beveridge Reef

At sea with crew organised activities that keep us all well amused. A visit is planned on the inside of Beveridge Reef where we last visited in 2016 on a National Geographic charter.

Day 4 - Beveridge Reef

Day 5 - Niue island

Niue Island comes into view at sunrise. The harbour is exposed so we plan to be here long enough to enjoy all the island highlights. We sail after lunch towards the Kingdom of Tonga.

Day 5 - Niue island

Day 6 - Vavau, Tonga

Vavau is a beautiful collection of islands that are on the other side of the dateline; so we arrive one day later. We spend time exploring the lagoon and our favourite islands. If we are lucky there will be the chance to swim with visiting humpback whales. We stay here tonight at a peaceful anchorage

Day 6 - Vavau, Tonga

Day 7 - Ha’apai

Today we move around these low lying islands and swim, snorkel and fish where few visitors have ever been before you. We also learn to understand how these islands are potentially exposed to the forces of an ever present Mother Nature.

Day 7 - Ha’apai

Day 8 – At sea

Say farewell to the friendly islands of Vavau and we set a course for Fiji. There are hundreds of islands along the way and the Captain will stop for us to make closer inspections and imagine ourselves living as a real castaway

Day 8 – At sea

Day 9 – Levuka Island

It is late evening when we approach Levuka to clear customs into Fiji and select a comfortable overnight anchorage. The area is extremely picturesque with steep mountains descending into protected bays of azure blue and emerald green waters.

Day 9 – Levuka Island

Day 10 - Fiji Islands

Later in the afternoon prepare for a very special entertainment. We have a meke (Fijian dancing) and a lovo (feast cooked in the ground) arranged by the local chief at his village. It is a fun-filled night for all involved with ukeleles, singing, dancing on the beach with some kava tasting.

Day 10 - Fiji Islands

Day 11 - Yasawa Islands

This morning we weave between the islets and the long sandy beaches of the Yasawa Islands and stop along the way for lunch and a swim. Later we celebrate a perfect day in paradise with a sunset cocktail on the aft deck and share stories of our day’s adventures.

Day 11 - Yasawa Islands

Day 12 - Malolo Island

The tenders are ready to take you to Malolo island. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to move into Fijian time and soak up the surrounding sea and landscapes that most mortals only dream about. A must visit is to the Yacht club Island bar that is frequented by locals and yacht owners alike. This iconic sand between the toes beach bar should not be missed. Don’t be too late as we have our farewell dinner onboard tonight.

Day 12 - Malolo Island

Day 13 - Port Denarau

After breakfast on deck we are underway and arrive alongside the Port Denarau wharf at 10:30 am with disembarking to be completed by 11am. We wish you safe travels and look forward to welcoming you back onboard soon.

Day 13 - Port Denarau

Feedback

We had wonderful holiday supported by a great enthusiastic crew. The snorkelling, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in such a beautiful pristine part of the world was superb. An honourable mention must be made for the Chef extraordinaire, he was passionate about every one of his creations and he far exceeded all previous chefs you have had on-board.The crew ensured that we had the best anchorage each evening and allowed us to safely discover the unspoilt islands of French Polynesia. Thanks again
Noel and Judith, NSW
