10 Nights in Paradise

This is an intimate voyage through French Polynesia's Leeward Islands. With only 24 fellow passengers we share an experience outside the usual tourist clichés, where your senses are loaded with colour, emotion and simple pleasures. Sample the romance of dinner under the stars, the discovery of stunning beauty whilst paddling a kayak on the lagoon, swimming with turtles, wander exquisite beaches or simply relax on deck while enjoying cocktails as the tropical sun slowly merges with the sea ... welcome to paradise

Wednesday – Papeete to Moorea

Guests begin boarding today from 4:30 pm for a late evening departure from the Pier de Pacquebots on the Papeete waterfront. Welcome snacks and drinks are served, meet your fellow travellers and the crew, a safety briefing and then we sail for Cooks Bay on the island of Moorea. Dinner is served on deck, accompanied by the most spectacular volcanic mountain backdrop. We anchor inside the lagoon for a comfortable sleep.

Thursday – Moorea

There is time for a swim off the ship before we depart for our morning ray dive at Taihura. Tropical fish life, friendly stingrays and the odd dolphin are the norm here. Sunscreen is a must and reef shoes that are supplied to all guests. Kayaking, swimming and paddle boarding are always available. After lunch we have arranged a scenic island tour from Opunohu to historic Cooks Bay. When all are back onboard there are drinks and canapés served on deck followed by dinner at 7 pm.

Friday – Moorea to Huahine

An early start when we weigh anchor for our cruise day to the outer island of Huahine. This is a relaxed read a book day, visit our open bridge or trail a fishing line off the stern whilst underway. The anchor is scheduled to be down in Baie Moroe around 4:30 pm allowing time for a swim followed by drinks and today’s chef’s creations in the main saloon or on the aft deck.

Saturday - Huahine

After breakfast, we take the landing craft to our secret beach - sable blanc - turquoise water; this is the place to swim, kayak, paddle board and snorkel. There are no organised tours here - just unbelievable unspoilt beauty. In the evening we move to Haapu Bay to be entertained with a cultural show and Tahitian dancing with the likelihood of festivities later into the night at anchor.

Sunday – Taha’a

Wake up to your 28-degree heaven. We depart for a leisurely island time cruise inside the northern reef of Taha’a. After lunch we visit a local vanilla plantation before we settle into the overnight anchorage. We have stunning sunset views of magical Bora Bora in the distance before dinner is served on the aft deck.

Monday – Taha’a to Raiatea

In the morning we are in the water again to snorkel the amazing coral gardens or have one of the crew to help you explore by tender. After lunch we have a guided tour of a local pearl farm where you may dive for your own pearls. Later this afternoon we dock alongside at Uturoa where an evening stroll ashore is on offer. Dinner is served from 7pm and we stay alongside overnight.

Tuesday – Raiatea

After breakfast you have time to visit the local shops and the shell market before we depart for the Faaroa River tour.  Prepare to be entertained as we show off the eastern lagoon on Raiatea and wind up the tiny Faaroa River, Tahiti's only "navigable river".  Returning to the ship by mid afternoon to try some trolling while we cruise to our overnight anchorage, alongside white sand beaches and palm trees, with more opportunities for water activities.

Wednesday – Raiatea to Bora Bora

After breakfast we cruise to Hurepiti Bay where lunch is served at anchor before the 3-hour journey to enter the Bora Bora lagoon. You are welcome to come up to the bridge as we make our way through the entrance in the reef. Once we are anchored, the Captain leads a party for happy hour cocktails at Bloody Mary’s Bar for an experience of a lifetime. Sand floors and a superstar history that stretches back over 30 years. Dinner is served onboard from 7pm with absolutely stunning views of magical Bora Bora.

Thursday - Bora Bora Lagoon

After breakfast on the aft deck we will reposition Island Passage to the south end of Motu Teviaora.  We will launch our tenders and explore the lagoon that is inaccessible to the larger ships. This area is the home of some premier resorts with their many associated overwater fares. Drinks, sunscreen, swimmers and a camera are a must on this aquatic island snorkel and swim tour. On returning to the ship, all watersports are available.

Friday – Bora Bora Lagoon

After breakfast we cruise inside the lagoon to position off Motu Tapu. A ray and shark feeding excursion, with professional guides,  has been organised for this morning. All the water-sports equipment is available and a regular tender shuttle will operate to and from the ship. After lunch we move to Motu Toopua and settle in to the anchorage with some well deserved relaxation time. Our Island Escape traditional 'guest and crew gourmet BBQ' is the highlight of the final evening which often goes late into the night.

Saturday – Bora Bora

Oh dear the final day. Breakfast is served on deck before the tenders transfer guests to Vaitape Ferry terminal at 0930 for some last minute shopping and the ferry to the airport. We do hope that you have enjoyed your time onboard with us.

Ia Orana, we hope to see you again.

Flexibility is a hallmark of small ship cruising. Our day-to-day itineraries are subject to change, sometimes without notice, due to operational reasons, the remoteness of the destination and/or the weather and sea conditions. All decisions of change are final at the Captain’s discretion.
